Asetrad, the Spanish Association of Translators, Proofreaders, and Interpreters, is awarding honorary membership to Red T at its Congreso XV Aniversario 2018, which will be held in Zaragoza, Spain. We congratulate Asetrad on celebrating its 15th anniversary and want to thank its president, María Galán Barrera, and the board for inviting us and selecting our non-profit to receive this special honor.

Prior to the award ceremony and address, Red T will be participating in a roundtable on conflict zone interpreting moderated by Rosa Llopis. We are looking forward to a lively discussion with the other panel members: Edina Spahic, interpreter for Bosnia’s president during the Bosnian War, and Dustin Langan, a US Fulbright recipient who worked as a linguist for the Coalition Provisional Authority in Baghdad, Iraq.
