Founder & CEO
As a forensic linguist, Maya Hess has provided language support and expert witness services in many high-profile court cases, among them: United States v. Ramzi Yousef, the trial involving the mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing; United States v. Omar Abdel Rahman, the seditious conspiracy trial of several defendants accused of waging urban warfare against the United States; United States v. Osama bin Laden, the case relating to the U.S. Embassy bombings in Africa; and United States v. Ahmed Abdel Sattar, the trial in which a translator/interpreter was convicted of aiding and abetting terrorism. Maya holds an M.A. in Journalism from New York University, a Graduate Certificate in Terrorism Studies from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and an M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from the City University of New York.

Beatrice Beccari is the Translator and Senior Legal Secretary for the Litigation Department of the international law firm Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, and possesses over 30 years of experience in the legal and translating arenas. Beatrice received a degree in Liberal Arts from the Liceo Virgilio and studied Political Science at Pro-Deo University, both in Rome, Italy.
Ken Clark is the Founder & CEO of 1-800-Translate, a multilingual communications service provider. He was the former President of Clark Media, a marketing and public relations firm specializing in Japan-US businesses and communications, and served as a public affairs advisor to the Foreign Ministry of Japan. Ken studied Japanese at Kansai Gaikokugo University in Japan and holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of New Mexico.
Vigdis Eriksen is President & CEO of Eriksen Translations Inc., a multilingual services provider founded in Brooklyn, New York, in 1986. She is a longtime member of the American Translators Association and the New York Circle of Translators. Vigdis also serves on the board of the Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of the Women Presidents' Organization, a nonprofit membership organization for women business owners.
Matthew Grotenstein is the Managing Director of WorldBridge Ventures, an international development firm focusing on U.S. market entry for language technology companies. Previously, he was the Vice President of Global Business Development and Director of Language Services at Ortsbo, a multicultural social media firm; prior to Ortsbo, he directed U.S. Sales & Business Development for CLS Communications, an international language services provider. He served on the Advisory Board of USAID's Africa Business Development Office and of the Corporate Council on Africa. Matt holds a BA in English Literature from Fordham University in New York City and is currently pursuing a degree in Management at Harvard University.
Muhammad Muslih is a Professor of Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies at C.W. Post College of Long Island University, New York, and an Associate Member of the University Middle East Seminar of Columbia University, New York. He is the author and co-author of numerous books and articles; his current research focuses on contemporary Islamic political thought. He is also the recipient of various fellowships and research grants, among them two grants from the U.S. Institute of Peace, as well as a sought-after lecturer, TV commentator, and consultant at USAID and several NGOs in the Middle East. He has worked as a translator for the UN Security Council and served as a linguistic expert witness at terrorism trials. Muhammad obtained his Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University.
Naomi Robbins is a Language Consultant with over 30 years of experience in the fields of translating/interpreting and editing; she is currently Editor at Oliver Wyman Delta. Naomi holds a BA in Modern Languages from Union College; an MBA in International Business/Marketing from New York University; an MA in Translation from the City University of New York; and a Translator's Certificate from Estudio Internacional Sampere, Madrid, Spain.
